A warm welcome awaits you at various women’s events that will be held in our Church throughout the coming year. We are looking forward to how the Lord will lead us. Our aim is to encourage you to be the women of God that you are meant to be – to be naturally spiritual and spiritually natural. God has a plan and purpose for each one of us. He wants to use our different giftings and personalities to bring about the furtherance of His kingdom in our communities. When we come together in fellowship, with genuine love and affection for one another, we see spiritual growth, lives transformed, hope rekindled and importantly God glorified. As Jesus quoted in John 13:35 (NLT) “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
Throughout 2018 we have been challenged by profound teaching, enjoyed tasty food and great fellowship with each other and our visitors and we truly thank God for what He has achieved in us and through us.
So what can we expect from 2019? Early in the year we will restart our tea and teaching meetings. Over the last two years we have covered the topics ‘Identity’ and ‘Trust Without Borders’, this new season will bring a further challenge to go deeper in our Christian journey and details and dates will be confirmed.
In Autumn 2019 we will have our yearly conference with a guest speaker. This is always an exciting event for us and over the last three years we have been very blessed by our guest speakers’ Rachel David of World Christian Ministries and Kate Kent from the Rock Church, Edwalton.
More recently our ladies enjoyed a continental breakfast together, splitting into groups afterwards, and entering into ‘Facets of Prayer’. From the positive and encouraging feedback we received, I am sure we will be doing this again too.
For those who have attended these events, we look forward to sharing love and fellowship with you again, and we also look forward to meeting new faces and making new friends. What a great journey we are all on! Watch this space for 2019 dates and events.
With love and every blessing from SFCC’s Women’s Ministry Team
